Bylaw Review Programme, Auckland Council

Kataraina Maki, from Auckland Council, spoke about how the Council, working with industry and the community, reviewed 158 ‘legacy’ bylaws, inherited from the eight former local councils, to achieve a coherent and sustainable set of regulations. The Bylaw Review Programme won Prime Minister’s Award for Public Service Excellence in the 2016 Deloitte IPANZ Public Sector Excellence Awards.
