The challenge that social investment brings to the social sector


There are many challenges for the social sector to deliver effective services, no matter what the political climate of the day determines to be the best approach. However, citizens as social service customers should be able to expect high quality services and hold agencies to account for a lack of performance.

Many aspects of the new social investment approach should stimulate the social sector to bring in changes around effective policy design, evaluation and using evidence-based research practice when commissioning.
