ANZSOG: A new approach to diversity and inclusion for New Zealand?

In the face of shifting migration flows and geopolitical realities, governments the world over are looking to update their approaches to diversity. Is interculturalism the way forward, particularly in light of the rapidity and scale of recent changes in New Zealand’s demographic profile?

In this seminar, an academic and a practitioner with substantial experience from the other side of the Tasman, will explore the potential of a new policy orientation that emphases active interaction over passive tolerance. How does it differ from multiculturalism? What would it mean for citizens and the State sector?

Please join Dr Glenda Ballantyne, Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Swinburne University and Lynda Ford, iGen foundation for a timely and thought provoking conversation about Australian, New Zealand and international experiences.
