Navigating Global Challenges - An Address by Laura Clarke OBE

The world is changing around us: COVID, climate change, a shift in international alliances and global security, rapid technological change and a gravitational shift towards the Indo-Pacific. 2021 is also a year of leadership for the UK, as it takes on the Presidencies of the G7 and COP26, working with partners to champion free trade, tackle climate change, and bolster open societies.

British High Commissioner Laura Clarke will join us to talk about the ever more challenging global context; the UK’s role and ambition on the global stage, and how the UK and New Zealand can work together on shared goals and shared values – bilaterally, in the Indo-Pacific, and beyond.

Refreshments will be served following the address.

This event is organised by the Institute of Public Administration New Zealand and the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs.

It is to be held in the Wave Room at Auckland University of Technology which is in the Sir Paul Reeves Building, 2 Governor Fitzroy Place.

On-street parking is available.
