May events to feature out-of-the-box speakers
In May, IPANZ has sought speakers from outside of core government to provide their insight on how we interact with the public.
Judge Peter Boshier, the Chief Ombudsman, looks at the public sector’s response to Official Information Act requests (Wellington, 4 May); David Rutherford, the Human Rights Chief Commissioner, will discuss how human rights conventions affect the public service (Wellington, 31 May); and the Salvation Army will present key findings from its State of the Nation report on social wellbeing indicators (Auckland, 25 May).
70 nominations have been received for the Deloitte IPANZ Public Sector Excellence Awards 2017, including plenty of interest in the new category: Improving Diversity and Inclusiveness in the Public Sector. The finalists and winners will be announced at the Awards night on 5 July.
