Public Sector Conference

The Public Sector conference is back for 2019.The conference aims to lead by providing a forum for public servants to discuss, gain knowledge and share insights on issues facing New Zealand so they can contribute to a public service that is compassionate, unified and motivated by a spirit of service to the community.

We aim to build on the success of the first two conferences in 2013 and 2015, that began a wide-ranging discussion on the past, present and future of the public sector in New Zealand.

The focus for the programme will be on the big issues facing the future of work for the Public Sector, including the State Sector Act Reform. This is the most significant reform of New Zealand’s Public Service in 30 years. The proposed changes involve a major shift in the way the Public Service operates and meets the needs of New Zealand and New Zealanders.

Speakers will delve into the future of work within the public sector, reflecting on the past, looking at the present and discussing the future changes that will make the biggest impact for New Zealanders.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The conference will be of value to all areas of the public sector from central government institutions and organisations which provide services to the public, crown entities, state-owned enterprises, the health sector and academic institutions.

Whether you are just starting your career in the public sector, or you are in senior management we are encouraging attendance from current leaders, aspiring leaders and future leaders.
