The Dilemmas of Regulating the Internet

In this lunchtime event Dr Peter Thompson, Associate Professor in the Media and Communication Programme at Victoria University of Wellington, shared his views on the many factors and complexities of regulating the internet. His session provided a framework for looking at the what is possible, the issues that need careful consideration and the interventions available.

He was joined by Jared Mullen, Director Digital Safety, Te Tari Taiwhenua - Department of Internal Affairs, who shared what the public service can and is doing in the world of digital safety.
